TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Ottawa franchise owners Paul Bimm and Lyne Vincent were awarded the Canadian Franchise Association’s 2019 Franchisee of the Year Gold Award, in the Non-Traditional franchise category.

They were selected from three Canadian franchise company finalists in this category, including Elite Trade Painting (Edmonton, AB) and MOLLY MAID CANADA (Sudbury, ON).

Their 2019 community contributions included:

  • During Heart Month in February, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK purchased 133
    Hearts at $5 per unit for the UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA HEART INSTITUTE.
  • In August, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK helped transport hockey rinks for THEIR OPPORTUNITY’s 7th annual charity Ottawa Ball Hockey Tournament at Lansdowne Park. THEIR OPPORTUNITY helps under-serviced families enroll their children in local sports/recreation programs.
  • In September, Co-Franchisee Lyne Vincent completed THE RIDE – THE OTTAWA HOSPITAL - raising funds for cancer research. Her 117km ride was dedicated to her father who died of cancer last August. She also raised $7,350. for cancer research at the Ottawa Hospital. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Ottawa is an ongoing cancer research supporter having raised $31,550 since they opened in September 2011.
  • Also in September, they supported Ottawa – Gatineau Tornado Relief efforts offering free moving services to anyone affected. A crew of two/three movers and one truck were on standby to help daily, for one month. They also picked up/delivered donations to two food banks; completed six moves and provided storage.
  • In October, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK  Ottawa also donated a MIKEY defibrillator to Jennifer Clark, Christopher Adam and David MacKay at the St. Joe’s Women’s Centre.
  • During November/December, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Ottawa partnered with Toy Mountain for the third consecutive year as their official mover, collecting toys from several drop-off locations in the National Capital Region, to help over 25,000 children and their families.
  • On December 5-6, the company partnered with THE SHOEBOX PROJECT in Ottawa, providing free transport for their 2018 Holiday Drive, collecting nearly 3,000 shoeboxes at 20 locations in two days, which were distributed to homeless women by volunteers prior to the holidays.
